Do your research on what sells. If you have an idea of I want to sell this, do research on other Etsy shops and see if those things that you want to sell are making a profit for people. Just keep track of everything. Every little thing that you do, every place when you drive to Costco to buy products for something you're making, keep track of that mileage because at the end of the year for taxes, it's a lot easier.
