"I don't really feel like this movie positions him as the best of all of them. I think when you have these white interloper movies, it almost always becomes and they're even better at the thing than the people who they just interloed," he says. "It gets away with it by not obviously being about any particular earth. It's an alien story. So we can get away with it."
