Is There a Treatment for Osmonic Demilination?
The driver for osmonic demilination is the change in sodium over 24 hours. For some one who comes in with severe symptomatic hyponitrema, the ideal may be to increase your sodium by six up front and then amp them later. The times when we run into problems with osmodic demilinations, i think that's when people aren't paying attention, and the sodium just kind of creeps away from you.
