The Bank of Japan's Upcoming Bond Buying Program
The Bank of Japan has been a big important source of global liquidity through its bond buying program to defend yield curve control. They want to keep long term yields low in order to keep the support for their overall economy with fear that if long term yields rise, given the degree of indebtedness in Japan that it could pinch off economic growth. And remember, Japan has been trying to get inflation for a very, very long time and they're finally starting to get some inflation. Inflation is running above their 2% target. So there's been a lot of pressure for them to potentially not be as controlling of the yield, let it fluctuate or widen the bands even further.
