The Greens' Criticism of the Housing Bill
The Greens and some of the crossbenchers say this just isn't enough. So we're seeing now kind of a stalemate in negotiations. Because labour needs the Greens and crossbench to be able to pass this bill. It is the shock election result that was hiding in plain sight the Greens swooping into key inner city electorates in Queensland. The Greens saw a massive 13% swing in their favour with the labour preferences. Now he's a new MP. He won one of those Queensland seats at the Greens, won in a bit of a surprise at the federal election. Then he's pretty strident. And he's from the sort of activist camp of the Greens, I guess.
