The Determinism of God

Lewis is interested in Laplace's demon, which was based on the success of calculus. If someone knew all the states of the past, they could predict exactly what was going to take place in the future. But most equations are non-linear and do not permit of an easy solution or their solution is at best a tractor that can be made up of an infinite number of points. The weather itself does not necessarily know where it's going to be a second from now. And once it occupies that point in the second from now, there's another attractor. It doesn't know where it’s going to go.
