Frida Ghitis: Can we place this work kind of in the broader context of when he's writing it and how it cind of fits into the development of where he's at? Ghitis: Freud was a nerologist in vienna, austria, in the 18 eighties that he became a doctor. He started to notice he had a lot of patients coming in with symptoms that weren't quotonquote, organic - which is the doctor's term for something that has a cause that's purely physiological. We see less of this to day, although there have been a few recent cases of this, usually of mass isteria. But he was seeing a lot of this sort
