What's the Range of Theories?

For the greeks, it was always about making you excellent. And then in terms of music, in particulary, i means that the like you learn homer and hese part thatcan seem straightforward to what's going on to me. I'll come back to that range of ters in a second. Just to go back a step, aspirationally, greek education was always supposed to produce good men. That doesn't mean that the education system often sort of showed a kind of deliberate logic for doing this. In fact, one of plato's recurrent complaints about athens is they have no idea how to make anyone good.
