Jacob went into a coma in June and came out at the end of January. Medical staff warned him that he might not be the same person when he woke up. He was very silent, only spoke if spoken to - but could recognize people close to him. After three days it became apparent they weren't going to put him back under. His first words were: 'Do you want to speak jacob? And we heard his voice for the first time,. It sounded very different. But i think we were all just punching the air and delighted'
