The Advantages of Timbal for Power BI
Timbal is an aiming to do a lot more of that and just make it much easier to use the syntax. In some cases around Power BI, there's like text JSON that is stored as text inside an object in weird stuff. So even though you're using this Timbal format, it actually allows you some more flexibility and formatting for DAX and M code, which is again, very helpful.
