The Green Eyed Monster

I think older people envy youth. They envy that time period that is now slipping through their fingers, particularly in midlife. It's very easy to feel envy for just youth itself. And that makes it easy to marginalize. I find myself dismissing youth all the time. But I think we can still be grateful for what we have whilst envying components of another thing. Like who wouldn't go back? Who wouldn't take everything that they work so hard for and shove it into a 20 year old body?"
