The Gender Wage Gap
When you account for personal choices that people make, college major career path, work family life balance, the regular things that we always consider, the gender wage gap utterly disappears. It's entirely possible that there's some sort of discrimination going on further up the chain. For example, it could be the case that men are pushed into STEM disciplines in their formative educational years more so than women. But either way, we're looking at the wrong thing when we look at employment as a source of some sort of gender wage gap.
