BuzzFeed has been very explicit that they value the division between advertising and editorial very strongly I think it's important not just for appearance reasons but because it will make their content worse. If you're a writer sitting down to write one day at BuzzFeed like and you're about to log on to the system what is it that the system shows you that gives you an edge over your competition? "I don't know I have no idea except that I've heard that it's it's amazing"
