Sally Kohn: In our lifetimes, we've seen the rise of these new kinds of infrastructures that essentially connect the world in ways that nobody dreamt up before. She says Facebook is a bit bigger than the biggest bulletin board systems but that's also about the increasing cost of personal computers and cell phones. Kohn: We should be in the lookout for studies of how those towns that treat the internet like a public utility have fared in this moment of quarantine when it's such a struggle for so many families to get connected to remote schooling.
