Why Aren't Omissions Going Up in Europe?

Despite high carbon prices, gas prices are just at such astronomically high levels thata, gas can't compete with coal. This year, that's going to be compounded by the fact that germany has switched off half of its nuclear fleet. And again, because gas prices are where they are, and com prices are still not high enough to drive gas ahead of coal,. That means most of that lost nuclear output will be replaced with coal. And therefore emissions will go up again this year, as they did last year. Perhaps not by quite the same amount, but, you know, it's going in the wrong direct.
