The Power of Natural Selection
Is natural selection a necessary mechanism for organisms anywhere in the universe? I think it's certainly the only one that anybody's ever suggested. If there is non-carbon-based life, which I doubt, but that's a separate issue. There will be some kind of genetics which I think I stick my neck out and say it's going to be digital genetics. Though if not DNA but any way digital genetics and which might be one-dimensional, might be two-dimensional, probably not three-dimensional. Because it will be Darwinian life is a gay elastic my neck out.
