Event Cancellation in a T-Little Verb
In Japanese and Burmese, you can say without sounding insane what literally translates to I burned it, but it didn't burn. In English, it sounds like it actually was accomplished. But in these languages, even though you've got a T-lick statement in the past tense, it's not necessarily been completed. And for whatever reasons, they call this event cancellation.
