Most Hindus believe that time didn't have a beginning, it doesn't have an end and there's periodic creation and destruction. Do you believe that God is personal? So this is a big debate which has gone on within Hindu traditions for thousands of years. The followers of Adi Shankar Acharya take a more impersonal view than the Vaishnavas who have a very personal view of God.
