Edward Bernays: A Christian Thinker
Edward Bernays, the man behind Lucky Strike cigarettes, was a Christian evangelist. He convinced women to smoke in Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade by placing normal-looking women on the street. The campaign became this political movement for women to buy cigarettes and smoke them. "I see that being used today in other ways," he says.
