Why You Miss Africa?
I think it's helpful for people to hear how complicated and cluttered our lives are what we're up against when it comes to anxiety and living simply. In Ugandan culture it is pretty much just appropriate to be a few minutes late, because you spent the extra few minutes having a conversation with somebody who knocked on your door. And so I felt like there just wasn't time to like deeply connect with people in Uganda. It's funny I had to learn all of that culture going in, because I was accidentally really rude. But then I came back to America and was doing it all backwards because I taught myself to do itwards.
