Nietzsche and Heraclitus argue that only in appearance do the phenomena of the world actually partake of existence, so to speak. Only by making themselves felt are things quote unquote real when they're sensed by other phenomena,. That's how the things of the world come into existence. Change and transformation and strife are not defects within reality, but it's like the very cloth of reality. It is the revealed character, the pattern that we see in all things.
