Is It True That Getting Married Makes You Happy?
The idea that getting married makes you happy, there's really no evidence for it. And so to assume that someone getting married is going to make their life better ignores the fact that their life might already be good because they're already pursuing scientific achievement or making art and doing something that resonates with them. You might marry an alcoholic or someone who's emotionally abusive,. Or someone who gambles, or someone who cheats, orSomeone who job takes them to the middle of nowhere. The work i've bee doing thinking about well being suggests that there are many ways to live a good life.
