From deep sleep, when we wake up, the first experience is of our own mind. You in deep sleep, you are Vishnu. At a cosmic level, pure consciousness with the cosmic causal body or maya is God, Vishnu. From that comes the cosmic mind, which is Brahmah. And from that, the cosmic body will also come Virat. That is what happens basically. If all that is complicated, just look at your daily sleep, dream and waking cycle.

Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches the Mundaka Upanishad which one of the major Upanishads belonging to the Atharva Veda. Mundaka means ''shaved'' like a shaved head. The teachings revealed in this Upanishad are meant to leave the student clean, or shaved of the veil of ignorance. Indeed, the study of this Upanishad has been traditionally confined to the shaven-heads, or the sannyasins, who have renounced everything and devoted themselves exclusively to contemplation.
