In 2010, Activision hires a law firm to investigate Infinity Ward. They fired West and Zampella for insubordination on the grounds that they were being courted by EA. The whole thing was messy. It resulted in this crazy court battle. Jason West had this to say about leaving Activision: "We didn't leave. We were fired"
