The Benefits of HRV
Heart rate variability is a quicker and more sensitive way at getting to your current state of rest and recovery. It can directly measure the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system rather than resting heart rate which is a combination of parasympathy, sympathetic and circulating hormones. The first thing is that you need to set yourself up with the right equipment. You don't absolutely have to do it seven days a week, but four or five days a week is certainly also a requisite for getting data useful to track accumulating fatigue.
