What Makes a Good Teacher?

It's important to know your material and be confident about it because if you're not the students can smell that a mile off. And I think it's also helpful that if it's your passion not just that you know the stuff but that you really enthusiastic, you love the stuff. So I think that's probably the most important thing. You can't just turn on passion and enthusiasm. It could be that something because it's not everyone capable of being a good teacher. Sure and many of us who involved in teaching at universities I think we just expected to teach. That's your job.
