The Importance of Gladiuses in the War on the Soviet Union
Operation Gladiou was also used to maintain imperialism in the global south. The right-wing dictatorship of Antonio Salazar in Portugal allowed Portugal to be a major Gladiou base. In France, the French Communist Party was kept out of government despite winning the 1945 election. And it did in fact work there and other places as well.
