The Importance of Compliance in Business

Many organizations will see a target of compliance as being the maximum to be achieved. But do you ever see organizations using the intent as their goal rather than the bare minimum of the regulation? I think that's an intelligent approach because regulators can't know everything about your individual business. And so I am seeing more businesses saying actually let's not treat that as the sort of, you know, the end point.
