If you're over the age of 35, most culture is no longer directed at you. The majority of popular culture is made for people between the ages of 18 and 35. It's a good idea to throatfully acknowledge where you're at. Take ownership of us. Sit with us and be comfortable with it as part of your identity. Because there's nothing you can do about us. Just be comfortable with that. I'm in my late 30s. I'm middle aged. It's grand. It's quite freeing. But if you don't acknowledge it, and you still try to hold onto youth that you no longer have, society will remind you very quickly and very cruelly
