In the 1960s, there was an attempt by a wide array of French thinkers to politicize Nietzsche. Probably the two most important figures in this respect were Jules de Lise and Michel Foucault. What's problematic about this is it has become so popular to kind of take Zarathustra's ideas for radical purposes that people just assume he would have been happy with that. But we should be very aware that we are appropriating tools and setting them to purposes that inventor himself would have been rapidly opposed to.
