Disagreement Is Not an Attack
The goal of rationalist discourse is to be less wrong. Aim for convergence on truth, and behave as if your interlocutors are also aiming fortruth. Be ready to falsify your impression otherwise if evidence starts to pile up. If two people disagree, it's tempting to try to converge with each other - but in fact the right move is for both of them to see what's true.
