The Importance of Identity in Education
Our identity and our sense of self worth is quite often tied into that belief. And I think even even even to be able to recognize like it's hard, right? Because we don't want to be wrong. You mentioned something several times and I'm glad you did. It's the identity thing. So you're in Australia, you would appreciate this: I asked my students what the capital of Australia is. And almost always somebody says Sydney but then everybody pretty much agrees that it's Sydney. And obviously it's... Amber? Okay, I want to give the pronunciation right. It's Canberra. Yeah.
