The Evolution of the Earnfield Culture in Italy
Fratasina is one of the first places in Italy to show evidence of a whole series of shifts that probably entered Italy from the outside. The Earnfield culture refers to a cremation burial right with the ashes placed in distinctive urns, often with additional grave goods. Elite burials in the Earnfield tradition tend to include weapons, especially swords, along with bronze armor, and sometimes horse tack.
