So if you're going to work, if you're taking exactly the same route to work, mammal brain ensures that you don't even need to think about it. And when we do our kind of the same habits, mammal brain just does it automatically. It becomes like a shortcut to our mental processes. Those creating really good habits is essential because it's really hard to change them once they're already engraved.
