Do You Have a Sustainable Commitment to Afghanistan?
In your mind, the minimum viable number of troops that the US would have to leave in Afghanistan was 3500 or was it going to be substantially more than that? I think roughly 3500. What we would have needed to do, though, was to increase the number of so-called enablers. These aren't soldier sailors, airman marines. It's more hardware and capabilities. At the end, we were no longer on the front lines with the exception of occasional counter terrorist force operations.
