Siskel and Ebert Review
The movie starts 130 pages into the book basically. Well we have like the first 10 minutes of the movie cover 130 pages in the book. Yeah because every other deviation is cutting a hundred pages. And it's also interesting for what we don't see because I find that scene so effective because we don't actually see it happen. We see him preparing to do it and we see the aftermath of it. That forces us to imagine it and we become our own depraved directors.
