The Effects of Higher Interest Rates on Financial Assets
We're seeing inflation picking up at a period of lower economic growth. Alongside that, we're seeing interest rates rise from record low levels. So it's the adjustment not just to higher levels of interest rates reflecting higher inflation which is having quite a big impact on financial assets and risky assets like equities. I'm an old-fashioned investor. And why wouldn't we have a situation where this inflation persists?
