Universal Basic Services - Is That Really the Point?
UBI is often associated with an argument for universal basic services. The idea is that UBI would be needed to buy everything, not just yachts, but also healthcare. But those goods are only available to people if someone's doing that work, right? I mean, healthcare is a great example. You can't provide people with healthcare if there are no doctors, nurses, and everybody else involved in the complex activity of providing healthcare.
