The Blue One: The Drive System

Your threat system is designed to make better safe than sorry predictions. It's not just a physicality of harm that is tricky here and situations like these types of things, it's also social ones. We can have this strong sense of threat system being activated where we feel that we're experiencing bullying or people are against us. So often in therapy, we're working with people's threat systems. But let me take you onto a second system, so the blue one which is linked to a type of positive emotion. This is called the drive system for short.
