I am personally skeptical of some of the hype that has gone into artificial intelligence I think old fashioned intelligence works pretty well. Five years ago they all suspected that AGI would come in the 2070s 2080s at minimum if not longer And now a lot of these guys are saying hey, look this is sort of inevitable for the 2030s Some say maybe by the end of the decade and so I think AGI changes everything right like right now Would still very much work under mathematical constraints but eventually there's people out there that suspect that it's going to gain sentience For all intents and purposes we won't be needed as much anymore. If and when that happens it just changes everything
