Comedy and Utopian Social Practice

Comedy and utopia are genres but they're also not genres. They're kind of leaky categories in interesting ways. I'm really interested in comedy as a kind of social practice. It's something that we do with each other as a parent for instance. The collision between these different ways of thinking is where the surprise and the comedy comes from.
