Bond and the Anglo-French Film Treaty
Moonraker was going to be one of the last films to take advantage of what was known as the Anglo-French film treaty. Broccoli would say that his company Eon Productions would own 45% of it and then it was a French firm. Le production Artis Asoye, this is here, would take the other 55%. The budget for the negative heading into pre-production was pegged at $25 million. But in particularly when making a film at that stage that was the kind of money that was just very, very rarely spent.
