With a zoom lens, maybe a 105 at the long end, I can tuck into a corner and just film from 15 feet away instead of having to get right up on someone. So you'd less like to interrupt the scene and you can become the fly on the wall sometimes. That's really fascinating because the access... I don't often think about this but that's probably true for me as well. Part of the storytelling is to be in the room. For me, most of my films, that's the hardest part.
