Despite everything that he suffered in his life, all this, the setbacks and much more, his story is a great life story of success. We wouldn't have got France invading Russia in 1812 were it not for Napoleon. You might well not have had Britain continuing to fight on in May 1940 without Churchill. And so it seems to me to deny both that there are great men and women, and that therefore those men and women are great.
