TypeScript vs React?

I'd love to hear from you. What do you think about TypeScript? Is it something more than I'm making it out to be am I diminishing the value of it too much? My trade-off analysis is incorrect. Svelte allows you to build JavaScript applications in a sort of reactive manner. It compiles your application into basically a program that doesn't need a virtual DOM.
