The Red Hat Enterprise Linux License Changes
If you want to access the Red Hat Enterprise Linux source code, you will only be able to do so through the Red Hat customer portal. This means that it's going to get more difficult for Almalinux or Rocky Linux to keep building a distribution that is fully one-to-one binary compatible with RedHat Enterprise Linux. "It's not in the spirit of open source at all," says Paul Waldman.
