From 1917 when this act was passed, until today, not a single president has been charged with violating the Espionage Act. Hillary Clinton did it over and over and over again, as did her staff. How come she wasn't charged and didn't go to prison for 400 years? And Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez was known to be reading sensitive material, including classified material, and his way back and forth from his home and his vehicle. Why wasn't he charged with a felony? I've asked repeatedly about Bill Barr since he presents himself as an expert on this topic. He was Attorney General not once but twice.
