In 16 38, king James and charles ordered the book of common prayer to be used in churches in scotland. But when a minister began using it he was attacked by protestant mobs who seized control of the streets. A coup followed where rebels took over edinburgh before spreading across Scotland. King James is now running out of money so calls parliament for more taxes but they won't approve them until he gives up on the ship tax.
