Haber and the Humboldt University

Haber studied chemistry at Humboldt University in Berlin. After graduating with a doctorate, he worked for his father's business. But the two didn't get on very well and Haber gave up commerce after 1892. He remained an academic for the rest of his life until 1906 when he was made professor by Karlsruhe University.
