C sharp has started to introduce progressive nullable annotations, but it's going to be a long journey before you have 100% coverage of Sunday library and Aspenet core. We like to check exceptions, but the followability angle of a function interface is unexpressed by the type system. And so you might be spotted in a code review, one most likely won't because you're going to look at a change set with your eyes closed.
